Novel Solution for future
Knowledgepie Private Limited
Knowledgepie is a cutting-edge biotechnology company that specializes in the development of innovative solutions for medical imaging. With a focus on creating alternative MRI contrast agents, Knowledgepie is revolutionizing the field of medical diagnostics with its groundbreaking technology.
Our flagship product is an iron nanoparticle-based contrast agent that is developed through a green route, offering numerous advantages over traditional gadolinium-based contrast agents.
USPs of Our Innovation
'First in Market' 'Make in India' product
Our product being the first in the market ‘Make in India’ product in the contrast agent market marks a significant milestone in India’s healthcare and manufacturing sectors. As a contrast agent used in medical imaging, its local production underscores India’s capability to innovate and manufacture sophisticated healthcare products domestically. This achievement aligns with the Make in India initiative’s goals of promoting indigenous manufacturing, reducing dependency on imports, and fostering economic growth through job creation and skill development. Moreover, it highlights advancements in research and development within the country, ensuring adherence to stringent quality standards while addressing healthcare needs with locally produced solutions.
Environment friendly
The synthesis technique of our contrast agent is characterized by its green, aqueous, thermo-free, one-pot procedure, emphasizing its environmental friendliness and efficiency. Green synthesis refers to methods that minimize or eliminate hazardous substances, reducing the environmental impact typically associated with chemical processes. Aqueous solvents are used, which are safer and more sustainable compared to organic solvents. The thermo-free nature implies that the synthesis does not require high temperatures, further conserving energy and reducing carbon footprint. Being a one-pot procedure simplifies the process, reducing waste generation and making it more cost-effective. Overall, these attributes not only highlight our commitment to sustainability but also position our contrast agent as a responsible choice for biomedical applications, ensuring minimal environmental harm while maintaining high standards of performance and safety.
Advantages related to NFS
As an iron-based agent, our contrast agent carries no risk of Nephrogenic Systemic Fibrosis (NSF), a serious condition associated with the use of Gadolinium-Based Contrast Agents (GBCAs) in patients with impaired kidney function. NSF is linked to the retention of gadolinium in the body, particularly in individuals with renal insufficiency. In contrast, iron-based agents, such as ours, do not pose this risk because iron is naturally metabolized and utilized by the body through regular biochemical pathways, without accumulating to toxic levels. This inherent safety profile makes iron-based contrast agents a preferable option for patients with compromised renal function or those at risk of NSF.
Cost- Effective
Our product offers significant cost-effectiveness compared to currently available MRI contrast agents in the market. A bottle containing 10 mL of our solution costs 1250/- rupees, whereas equivalent amounts of existing MRI contrast agents typically range between 1700 to 1800/- rupees. This pricing advantage not only makes our product more affordable for healthcare providers and patients but also enhances accessibility to advanced imaging technologies. This affordability also aligns with broader healthcare goals of improving access to essential medical technologies, thereby contributing to better patient outcomes and overall healthcare efficiency.
Can be used for renal- impaired patients
Our contrast agent is particularly advantageous for use in patients with renal impairment due to its iron-based composition. Unlike Gadolinium-Based Contrast Agents (GBCAs), which pose risks of nephrogenic systemic fibrosis (NSF) in individuals with kidney dysfunction, our agent does not rely on gadolinium and thus eliminates this concern.
